Skyfora Privacy Policy for Job Applicants

This privacy policy describes how Skyfora processes personal data of applicants who apply for jobs at Skyfora. The controller for the processing described below is Skyfora Ltd.

2. Purposes and legal grounds for the processing

Skyfora processes personal data of its job applicants for the purposes of recruitment.

The processing is based on the legitimate interests of Skyfora. The legitimate interests include the solicitation, evaluation and selection of applicants, as well as managing the recruitment process. In some cases, parts of the processing may also be based on your consent. In such cases, we separately ask for your consent.   

3. Categories of Personal data

The personal data of job applicants can be categorised as follows: 

– Identification and contact information (e.g. name, email address, phone number)
– Resume/CV data
– Cover letter data
– Other information provided by the applicant during the recruitment process (including interviews and possible assessments)

4. Sources of Personal data 

 The personal data processed during the recruitment process is primarily provided by the applicants themselves or created during the recruitment process. With the permission of the applicants, some data may be provided by references.   

5. Storage times of Personal data

Generally, personal data of job applicants is stored for 5 months after the recruitment process has ended.   

6. Disclosures and transfers of Personal data

Skyfora may disclose personal data of employees to service providers, such as IT providers or recruitment agencies. Where required, personal data is also disclosed to authorities. 

Skyfora processes personal data in the European Union. However, we use a service provider who processes personal data in the United States. The transfers are governed by the Data Privacy Framework and a decision on an adequate level of data protection by the European Commission.   

7. Rights of the data subjects

You have the right to access your data and the right to have any inaccurate or false data corrected. You also have the right to request that your data is deleted, that the processing of your data is restricted, and to object to the processing of personal data. For any processing based on your consent, you have the option to withdraw your consent at any time.

In case you consider our processing of personal data to be inconsistent with the applicable data protection laws, you have the right to file a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (https://www.tietosuoja.fi). 

Providing personal data is required for applying for a job at Skyfora. Personal data is not used for profiling or making automated decisions with significant effects as referred to in Article 22 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
